Katie BrownKatie Brown

Visual Art Educator

Growing up in the woods and pastures of Batavia, Ohio inspired a love of nature and outdoor activities during Katie’s childhood. The illustrations and stories of her father’s library of children’s books led to art classes that somehow fit between countless sporting events. Katie’s choice of Ohio University was based on its prestegious Ceramics program, the opportunity to major in Art Education and a Division 1 Soccer scholarship. In June of 2009, she discovered a perfect place to share her talents and passions with thousands of children annually, Greenacres. Each fieldtrip, summer camp or arts event fullfills her need to show people a vehicle of expression through art that they can appreciate for a life time.
