Greenacres is dedicated to bringing classroom lessons to life through our hands-on educational programs. This July, the Greenacres staff and members of the Greenacres Artists Guild are teaming up with nationally recognized children’s book illustrators Barbara McClintock, Matt Phelan and Ralph Fletcher, the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum, and Kent State University staff to provide professional development opportunities for art and creative writing educators. This two-day event will deepen the participants’ knowledge and understanding of the arts, specifically visual imagery and visual literacy in classroom and visual arts teachers in order to build artistic and visual literacy skills in children.

Please join us for our celebration of music and the arts at the grand Greenacres Arts Center!  What started as a 100th birthday celebration for one of our beloved founders, Mrs. Louise Dieterle Nippert, has continued on as a celebration of her memory and legacy. This year’s concert will feature performances by the Cincinnati Pops, Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Ballet and May Festival Chorus with John Morris Russell conducting. Performances will take place in the Greenacres Grand Tent at the Greenacres Arts Center.
