Title: Saturday Stream Snapshot (SSS) Citizen Monitoring Program Volunteer Training
Description: Volunteers needed collect samples, transport samples to the lab, analyze samples, and enter data into a database. Every Saturday at 9:30 a.m., we train new volunteers and give tours of the lab. As a 501(c) 3 organization, we can offer volunteers Community Service Hours. Come join the fun!

Title: Greenacres presents - Spring for Art
Description: As our trees blossom and gardens awaken, spring comes alive inside and out at Greenacres. Whether it’s a stream trickling back to life from a winter melt or the first sighting of a returning Purple Martin, Masterworks for Nature artists and special guest artist, Jacob Pfeiffer captures these moments and present paintings inspired by the natural spring beauty of Greenacres. Guests are invited to meet the artists, view the artwork and tour the Greenacres Arts Center.

Description: This free event includes: exhibitors with hands-on displays representing environmental groups, government agencies and businesses including Greenacres; a Rock-Climbing Wall, Kayak Paddle Safety Pool, ORSANCO's aquarium; baby animals from Farmer Frank's Sunrock Farms; Mother Earth and storytelling; an environmental puppet show; a children's fashion show with creations made with recycled material; entertainment from local bands throughout the day, and the 1st annual Planet Protector Parade where young ones can create their very own 40th Earth Day flag, and much, much more
