Title: Playhouse in the Park “Off The Hill” performance of “The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi,” adapted from Rudyard Kipling by Y. York
Description: THE GARDEN OF RIKKI TIKKI TAVI adapted very loosely by Y. York from Rudyard Kipling, is a free-flowing, comic brawl in which nobody dies of a loose adaptation of the Kipling classic! Darzee, the diva tailor bird, is incensed when Rikki Tikki Tavi washes up in Darzee’s pristine garden. Darzee and friend, Chuchu, pull out all the stops attempting to run off the pesky mongoose, until they see that Nag, cobra and garden despot, runs in fear when spying a mongoose on the loose. This comedy about sharing and cooperation was a multi-year hit in its Honolulu Theatre for Youth premiere and has gone on to numerous delightful productions across the country.
