Greenacres provides a unique opportunity for greater Cincinnati residents to participate in environment and agriculture education programming within the I-275 loop. Mature forests, streams, old fields, farm ponds and vernal pools provide a wide variety of environmental education opportunities. The fully diversified, grass-based working farm and multiple gardens offer an array of opportunities to learn about sustainable agriculture. Education programs at Greenacres are designed to impact each participant as much as possible. Staff strive to provide only the best educational experiences while meeting the specific needs of visitors. We work in cooperation with group leaders to customize programs for individual groups.
Greenacres held its first Environmental and Agriculture Education programs in 1989 shortly after the Greenacres Foundation was founded.
Since then, environment and agriculture programming has grown to meet the needs of over 6,000 children and adults annually.
