The Greenacres Arts Center is working on future programming for children and adults. Your input is needed. Please fill out the community survey located on the website to help us provide what you want. We want to offer a full array of programming beginning with our school-aged children program, After-school programming, summer programs, and adult programming and your suggestions will be heard. Visit this site frequently to see how your suggestions have been put into play.
School-age Childrens Programs (Available Monday - Thursday) :
FREE field trips anyone? Have you every danced the solar system? Composed music using dice? Made an elephant out of leaves? The Arts Center programs will engage students in music, visual arts, drama, and dance. The staff of the GAC is developing arts opportunities for children to supplement the arts experiences while helping to meet math and science standards. Our goal is to help improve student academic performance and instill a sense of wonder and appreciation for the arts. Learning will be hands-on experiential learning—just like the extremely successful agricultural and environmental education program that has been so successful since 1989.
After-School Programs: Available by arrangement or from 4:00PM until 6:00PM
We currently offer programming for Scouts to enable them to meet the requirements of many different badges. Beginning in the autumn of 2009, additional after school programming such as group or private arts lessons, cooking for kids, pottery, painting, and class guitar will be offered.
Summer Programs: New summer camp programs will begin in June, 2010. Check Out Our 2010 Offerings! (pdf file size 2,100kb)
For more information about the programming or to propose or suggest a class, contact Jackie Quay at the Arts Center at (513) 793-2787 or jquay@green-acres.org. We are looking forward to your participation! The dates and times of public programs will be announced on the Greenacres Events Calendar.
